An OSF/1 ( Digital Unix ) driver for Digital Alpha machines is actually in development. It is adapted for use in the NA 48 experiment which means that it will be optimized to move large quantities raw data in a fast way.
This driver should be ready during End 1996.
Documentation for the basic driver.
An additional part to the driver will allow transfers using TCP/IP protocol.
The TCP/IP extension should be ready December 1996,
The OSF drivers can be used on Digital Alpha VME modules running OSF/1 ( Digital Unix ).
