During the HNF-Europe meeting 1 March in Reading a large majority asked to repeat a technology demonstration this year. This demonstration will be
Friday 8 October 1999 at CERN.
This period corresponds with the TELECOM 99 exhibition from 10-17 October and allows participants to visit worlds largest telecommunication exhibition. At the same time we will keep the demonstration in place during the Telecom 99 period. It is our intention to organise a shuttle bus between Telecom 99 and CERN
On Saterday 9 October there will be a guided Visite to the CERN installations ( see Agenda ).

Subject of the demonstration will be twofold and will follow the diagram of Figure 1

GSN Interconnectivity | including switches, bridges and different processors with Native or PCI Interfaces |
|

|
Storage Area Network ( SAN ) | that will be mainly Fibre Channel oriented. |
