LANL’s 3T Blue Mountain HIPPI Network

Consists of 12 interfaces each in 48 SMPs ( this picture is only one layer with one interface per SMP)

Used primarily for message passing-

Another “layer” (which is similar to these) is used for I/O to HPSS, and other services.

This network is one candidate for replacement with GSN.
